China Bound for International Cooperation

China is gearing for better economic and social development. The country holds an ambitious dream to be the sole super power of the East. To realize this goal, they have started improving their international and domestic policies. In the recent years, we have seen how this country has emerged as an influential economy that affects the whole world. It is a fact that China leads Asia in terms of economic growth and social development. This is partly attributed to the modern innovations of the country and their move towards globalization. More Chinese nationals are starting to cross borders either to study or to conduct business deals.

As of now there are lots of Chinese businessmen looking to tap the Western economies. The United Kingdom has attracted hordes of Chinese entrepreneurs to make business there. On the contrary, the number of British nationals availing China business visa is also rising. There seems to be a bilateral trade of manpower where the two countries are exchanging talents between them. Chinese visa is also increasing together with the influx of locals moving out of the country.

Chinese looking to move to UK need to know several things. For one, they must pass the requirements needed by the British Embassy located in Beijing. UK nationals will also do the same when they apply for Chinese visa. There are different legal routes for Chinese locals who wish to move to the United Kingdom. These are some of the visas offered by the UK embassies for those who want to permanently reside in the UK: British Citizenship Visa, Fiancé Visa, Marriage/Spouse Visa, Permanent Residence, and Family Category. They also have an option which is similar with China business visa. Tier4 – Student Visa, Tier 2 – Work Permits/ Skilled Worker, and Tier 1 – General Highly Skilled Person are some of the permits a Chinese local can avail if they want to work in the UK. For others who only want to visit the UK for several months or weeks, they can apply for a Visitor or Tourist Visa. Chinese visa and UK visa application are almost the same except for the duration of each type of visa.

China business visa usually allows foreign workers to stay within the mainland China for at least 3-6 months while UK Working Visa permits qualified Chinese locals to work for up to five years. The requirements for UK work permit is a lot harder since you will have to pass a set criteria which includes educational attainment, English language test result, employment history, and UK-based employer sponsorship. As such, it is a lot harder to apply for a UK visa than for Chinese visa.

You can also travel to the UK using a tourist visa which is a lot similar with Chinese tourist visa. Application for UK tourist visa requires the applicants to show evidence of financial status in their home country. You would most likely need to prepare a copy of your bank statement within the last 6 months. The duration of UK tourist visas is 6 months which is the same as with China visa.

This healthy share of manpower, industry, and knowledge is a great way of fostering global cooperation and advancing the quality of our society. China visa and UK visa is a great testament for friendly international relationships.
